Recipes to enjoy with Umenishiki

Sardine frits with Aonori(green seaweed)

Ingredients
  • 3 sardines
  • a pinch of salt
  • [A]70g cake flour
  • [A]30g potato starch
  • [A]1 tablespoon of Aonori(green seaweed)
  • [A]150cc Beer (or sparkling water)
  • Frying oil as needed
  • Lemon as needed
How to make
  • 1 Clean all organs of sardines and wipe off excess water with kitchen paper.
  • 2Add all ingredients “A” into a bowl and mix well.
  • 3Heat the frying oil to 170℃ and fry the coated sardines.
  • 4Fry for 3 to 4 minutes, then raise the temperature to 180℃. Fry for about another 10 seconds and drain off the oil.
  • 5Arrange on a plate, garnish with lemon.
